What is the Biathlon World Cup?
The BMW IBU Biathlon World Cup is the ultimate test of stamina and precision - a season-long series where the world's best athletes race and shoot their way across snow-covered venues in pursuit of biathlon's most coveted prize: the Crystal Globe.
At every World Cup stop, athletes earn points based on their finishing positions. The biathlete with the highest overall score takes home the Big Crystal Globe as the Overall World Cup champion, while the best in each discipline - sprint, pursuit, individual, and mass start - win Small Crystal Globes for their specialty.

- Race formats include: individual, sprint, pursuit, mass start, and relay
